About the Company

Gazprom Neft Shelf, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gazprom, JSC. It was set up in 2002 to develop oil and gas fields.

Gazprom Neft Shelf holds a license for development of the Prirazlomnoe oil field, discovered in 1989 on the shelf of the Pechora Sea. Recoverable С1+С2 oil reserves make nearly 77,1 mln. tons. The Offshore Ice-Resistant Fixed Platform “Prirazlomnaya” is to perform all process operations on the field. The construction of the platform is currently under completion at PO Sevmash. The project is being implemented in cooperation with Russian leading defense enterprises.

Since 2008 the Company has been conducting geological prospecting operations on Gazprom’s license areas on the Yamal Peninsula (North Tanbey, West Tambey, Malyginskoe, Tasiiskoe, Nilivoiskoe, Seyakhinskoe areas) and in Yakutiua (Chayandinskoe field).

Valery Borodin attended the Kurchatov Institute with a representation on the construction of the Prirazlomnaya OIRFP

“The drilling operations on the Prirazlomnoye arctic shelf field can start in March, this year”, said Valery Borodin, Deputy Director General of OAO "PO" Sevmash ", where the Prirazlomnaya OIRFP has been built. “We expect to start drilling in March. Customers want to start drilling operations as soon as possible, but it is necessary to observe all safety requirements," said Borodin at the Scientific Council at the Kurchatov Institute.

Alexander Y. Mandel, Gazprom neft shelf, LLC Director General, was born on June 25, 1950 in the town of Rozhishche, Volynskaya Region, Ukrainian SSR.

From 2008, Alexander Mandel has headed Gazprom neft shelf, LLC (former Sevmornedtegaz CJSC).

He was awarded with: Order of Courage, Medal of the Order “For Service to the Fatherland (II Degree)”, Medal “300th Anniversary of the Russian Navy”, the titles “Honorary Worker of the Fuel and Energy Complex” and “Honorary Worker of Gazprom, JSC”.
